Through Time and Color

This portrait embodies the idea of ‘identity’. My intention for this portrait was to show my identity through two different mediums, acrylic paint and, charcoal. These two mediums are important conceptually. Myself drawn in charcoal represents me as a child and is reminiscent of an old picture, while the vibrant acrylic colors represent who I was growing up and how that part of my personality is still within me follows me everywhere I go throughout life. My identity never changes, but keeps adapting, blossoming, and growing like flowers.
