Being the Art Director of a magazine requires a strong work ethic, organisational skills, and the prioritization of time management. Much of the work I do apart from creating illustrations and working on typeface choice depends on the last few weeks of the semester when all the articles are finished and ready to be placed in layout. The entire laying out of the 80 pages is completed in a matter of one to two weeks, and the only way this can be done successfully is if illustrations and photography are fully prepared, which takes months to create and curate.
